  • 4 cups of all-purpose flour (23.8 oz / 675g)
  • 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast (0.18 oz / 5g)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of warm water (8 fl oz / 240ml)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine


  1. In a bowl, mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, and sugar. Add the salt and mix again.
  2. Add the cup of warm water (8 fl oz / 240ml) and mix well. Let it rest for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.
  3. After 10 minutes, add the egg and the sweetened condensed milk to the mixture. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the rest of the flour until you get a homogeneous dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.
  5. Add the butter or margarine and mix well.
  6. Divide the dough into 12 equal parts, forming balls with each one.
  7. Grease a 12-inch diameter by 2-inch high pan and arrange the balls, slightly flattening them.
  8. Let the dough rest until it doubles in size.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake the bread rolls for approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Once baked, optionally brush the bread with sweetened condensed milk.
  11. Serve the rolls warm or cold. Enjoy!
