Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- Confectioners’ sugar (0.6 oz)
- A pinch of salt
- 3/5 cup (120 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) melted butter
- 1 lemon (Sicilian)
- 3 cups (750 g) cream cheese
- 3/5 cup (150 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (60 g) sifted cornstarch
- 1 pomegranate
Instructions:
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
- Add a pinch of salt and the confectioners’ sugar to the egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, add 3/5 cup (120 g) granulated sugar to the egg yolks and beat until creamy.
- Mix in 1/2 cup (100 g) melted butter and the zest of the lemon, being careful to only grate the yellow part.
- Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into this mixture.
