Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar (200 grams / 7 oz)
- 1 cup of milk (240 ml / 8 oz)
- 100 ml of vegetable oil (3.4 oz)
- 350 grams of all-purpose flour (2 and 3/4 cups / 12.3 oz)
- 10 grams of baking powder (2 teaspoons / 0.35 oz)
- 1 gram of vanilla extract (1/4 teaspoon / 0.04 oz)
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (0.5 oz)
- 2 tablespoons of water (30 ml / 1 oz)

Instructions:
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a light mixture.
- Add the milk and vegetable oil to the egg mixture, stirring until incorporated.
- Add the sifted flour, baking powder, and vanilla to the liquid mixture, stirring until you get a homogeneous batter.
- Divide the batter into two equal parts.
- In one part of the batter, mix the cocoa powder with the two tablespoons of water until you get a paste.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Grease and flour a 10-11 inch (26-28 cm) diameter pan.
- Pour the two batters into the pan, each on one side, to form a half-and-half cake.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before removing from the pan.
