This Cheese Bread with Potato recipe is practical and delicious, perfect for a quick and tasty snack. The dough is simple to prepare, and cooking in the skillet ensures a soft and crispy cheese bread. Here’s how to make it!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) bread flour
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted melted butter
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 medium potato
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Mozzarella cheese (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Preparing the Dough:
    • In a bowl, mix the bread flour, milk, melted butter, and salt.
    • Knead by hand for about 5 minutes until you have a homogeneous dough.
    • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  2. Preparing the Filling:
    • Cook the potato in water until very soft.
    • Mash the cooked potato and mix it with mayonnaise.
  3. Assembly and Cooking:
    • After 1 hour, remove the dough from the refrigerator and form a ball.
    • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until you get a circle about 22 cm in diameter.
    • Spread a layer of mozzarella cheese over the dough.
    • Spread the potato puree with mayonnaise over the cheese.
    • Add another layer of mozzarella cheese on top of the puree.
    • Fold the dough over the filling, sealing the edges well and pressing to seal.
    • Heat a skillet over low heat and brush with a little butter.
    • Place the stuffed bread in the skillet and cook until lightly golden on the bottom.
    • Carefully flip the bread and let the other side brown.
    • During cooking, brush a little melted butter over the bread.
  4. Serving:
    • Serve the stuffed bread hot.
    • If desired, accompany with honey for dipping the bread, enhancing the dish’s flavor.
