  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • Mint
  • Parsley
  • 3.5 oz (100 grams) of cheddar cheese
  • 4.2 oz (120 grams) of cornstarch (about 5 tablespoons)
  • 0.28 oz (8 grams) of salt (about 1 teaspoon)
  • Vegetable oil


  1. Chop the large potatoes.
  2. In a pot, fill with water until it reaches the top of the potatoes and cook until soft (about 15 minutes).
  3. Finely chop the red bell pepper, parsley, and mint.
  4. Remove the potatoes from the stove and drain the water. Pass the potatoes through a sieve, mashing them into a purée.
  5. Add 3.5 oz (100 grams) of grated cheddar cheese, the red bell pepper, mint, and parsley to the purée and mix well.
  6. Add 4.2 oz (120 grams) of cornstarch (about 5 tablespoons) and 0.28 oz (8 grams) of salt (about 1 teaspoon). Mix again.
  7. Knead the dough for a few minutes with your hands.
  8. Roll out the dough with cornstarch and trim the edges to make the dough square.
  9. Cut the dough into thin sticks.
  10. Heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  11. Place the potato sticks in the hot oil and cook until they turn golden.
  12. Fry all the sticks in the same way.
