Homemade Fried Donuts! Crispy on the Outside, Soft on the Inside

  • 1 cup (7.8 oz) of sugar
  • 2 large eggs (or 3 if they are smaller)
  • 1 tablespoon of margarine or butter
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 cups of sweet starch (14.1 oz)
  • 1 cup (4.4 oz) of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (8 fl oz) of milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
