Hello, culinary enthusiasts! Today, I’m excited to share with you the recipe for my favorite breakfast, an irresistible combination of crispy toast, melted cheese, and a delicious béchamel sauce. This dish is a true explosion of flavors and has won over all my friends. Let’s head straight to the kitchen and discover how to turn simple slices of bread into a morning masterpiece!


  • 4 slices of bread (about 4 oz)
  • 1.76 oz (50 g) of hard cheese
  • 0.71 oz (20 g) of butter
  • 0.88 oz (25 g) of all-purpose flour
  • 6.76 fl oz (200 ml) of milk
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 6 slices of ham


  1. Spread butter on both sides of the 4 slices of bread.
  2. In a skillet, toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  3. Grate 1.76 oz (50g) of hard cheese.
  4. Prepare the béchamel sauce: Melt 0.71 oz (20 g) of butter, add 0.88 oz (25 g) of all-purpose flour and stir until golden.
  5. Gradually add 6.76 fl oz (200 ml) of milk to the sauce, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Season the sauce with a pinch of black pepper, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  7. Place the toast slices in a baking dish, place a slice of ham on each one, and sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
  8. Close the sandwiches and pour the sauce over the top, then sprinkle more cheese.
  9. Bake at 356°F (180°C) for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.
