  • 4 tablespoons (1 oz / 32g) cornstarch
  • 600 ml (20.3 fl oz) whole milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup (3.2 oz / 90g) unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, cornstarch, and cocoa powder.
  2. Mix well off the heat to dissolve the dry ingredients.
  3. Add the egg yolks (if desired, remove the egg membrane) and mix again.
  4. Gradually add the milk, incorporating it well into the other ingredients.
  5. Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  6. Cook for a few minutes until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble.
  7. Continue stirring for an additional 3 minutes to fully cook the cornstarch and egg yolks.
  8. Remove from heat when the mixture is thickened.
  9. Transfer the mixture to a greased mold (approximately 7-inch diameter) and cover with plastic wrap to prevent a film from forming.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours until well chilled.
  11. To unmold, run a knife around the pudding and invert onto a serving plate.

Finishing Touch:

If desired, decorate with sprinkles before serving.
