Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) shredded coconut
- 4 cups (1 liter) milk
- 1 cup (200g) sugar
- 1 cup (220g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla essence
- 3 1/2 tablespoons (50g) butter
- 2/3 cup (150ml) heavy cream
- 1/3 cup (50g) chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Spread the shredded coconut evenly on a parchment-lined pan.
- In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, flour, and vanilla essence.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Add butter and continue stirring until the butter melts and incorporates completely into the mixture.
- Remove from heat and pour over the shredded coconut in the pan.
- Refrigerate for 4 hours.
- In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the chilled mixture in the pan and sprinkle chopped walnuts on top. Slice into pieces.
