  • 1 cup (200g) shredded coconut
  • 4 cups (1 liter) milk
  • 1 cup (200g) sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla essence
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons (50g) butter
  • 2/3 cup (150ml) heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup (50g) chopped walnuts


  1. Spread the shredded coconut evenly on a parchment-lined pan.
  2. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, flour, and vanilla essence.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  4. Add butter and continue stirring until the butter melts and incorporates completely into the mixture.
  5. Remove from heat and pour over the shredded coconut in the pan.
  6. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
  7. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream over the chilled mixture in the pan and sprinkle chopped walnuts on top. Slice into pieces.
  9. Roll up these slices and decorate with additional walnuts.
  10. Serve and enjoy your meal!
