No Milk, No Eggs, No Butter! Easy Soft Vegan Cake

  • 17.6 oz (500 g) of orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 3.5 oz (100 g) of vegetable oil
  • 7 oz (200 g) of sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • Orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 0.7 oz (20 g) of baking powder
  • 15.9 oz (450 g) of all-purpose flour
  • 1.8 oz (50 g) of orange juice
  • 0.7 oz (20g) of cocoa powder


  1. Preheat the oven to 338°F (170°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the orange juice, vinegar, baking soda, vegetable oil, sugar, salt, orange zest, turmeric, and baking powder.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture, sifting it to prevent lumps. Stir well until you have a homogeneous batter.
  4. In another bowl, add the cocoa powder to the 1.8 oz (50 g) of orange juice, mixing gradually until it forms a paste.
  5. Grease a baking pan with oil and pour 1/4 of the initially prepared batter into it.
  6. Add raisins over the batter (if desired).
  7. Then, pour the cocoa paste over the batter in the pan.
  8. Use a wooden stick to lightly mix the layers in the pan.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes, or until the cake is completely baked.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before unmolding.
  11. After cooling, sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
  12. Serve the soft and delicious cake!
