Soft and Moist Cake Recipe! Quick and Easy

  • 12 eggs
  • 10.6 oz (300g) sugar (12 tablespoons)
  • 6 fl oz (180ml) vegetable oil (12 tablespoons)
  • 6.3 oz (180g) all-purpose flour (12 tablespoons)
  • 1 packet (0.35 oz / 10g) baking powder

For the syrup:

  • 21.2 oz (600g) sugar
  • 30.4 fl oz (900ml) water
  • Juice of 1 lemon


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a cake pan with oil and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
  3. Add the vegetable oil, all-purpose flour, and baking powder to the egg and sugar mixture. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 35 minutes, or until the cake is golden and fully baked. Use a toothpick to check for doneness.
  5. While the cake is baking, prepare the syrup. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water and bring to a medium heat. Cook for about 5 minutes until the syrup slightly thickens.
  6. Remove the syrup from the heat and stir in the lemon juice, mixing well.
  7. Once the cake is done and still warm, cut it into pieces and generously drizzle with the warm syrup.

Note: If desired, decorate with lemon zest or powdered sugar before serving.
