  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar (about 36g)
  • 2 tablespoons of oil (30ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 120g of all-purpose flour
  • 8g of baking powder


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. In a bowl, mix the eggs and powdered sugar until fluffy and pale.
  3. Add the oil and lemon juice to the mixture and continue beating until well incorporated.
  4. Sift the flour and baking powder over the egg mixture and gently fold in with a spatula until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 28cm cake pan or line with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before unmolding.
  8. Spread your choice of jam, guava paste, or wild berry jam over the cake.
  9. Roll it up like a Swiss roll and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
