Ingredients:
- 2½ cups (10.6 oz / 300g) cornstarch
- 3½ cups (14.8 oz / 420g) all-purpose flour
- 2½ cups (17.6 oz / 500g) margarine
- 1 cup (0.9 oz / 25g) chopped green onions
- Pepper, to taste
- 1½ cups (7 oz / 200g) grated cheese
- ½ cup (4 fl oz / 120ml) coconut milk
- ½ cup (4 fl oz / 120ml) vinegar
- 2 teaspoons (0.35 oz / 10g) salt
Instructions:
- In a food processor, combine coconut milk, vinegar, chopped green onions, and pepper to taste. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer the blended mixture to a large bowl. Add margarine, salt, grated cheese, cornstarch, and half of the all-purpose flour.
- Mix well with your hands until a smooth dough forms.
- Gradually add the remaining all-purpose flour to the dough, kneading until the dough is smooth and pliable. You may not need to use all of the flour, depending on the dough’s consistency.
- Shape the biscuits: take portions of the dough, roll it out between two sheets of plastic wrap, and use a cookie cutter to shape.
- Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
