Ingredients:

  • 100 ml (approximately 3.4 oz or 6 tablespoons) of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 packet (7 grams or 0.25 oz) of dry yeast
  • 70 grams (about 2.5 oz or 1/2 cup) of flour
  • 430 grams (approximately 15 oz or 3 1/2 cups) of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of oats
  • 275 ml (about 9.3 oz or 1 1/8 cups) of warm water
  • 3 tablespoons of yogurt
  • Sunflower oil

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and dry yeast well.
  2. Add 70 grams (2.5 oz) of flour and mix until smooth. Cover and let rest for a few minutes.
  3. Sift the 430 grams (15 oz) of flour into another bowl. This will make the bread softer.
  4. Add the sifted salt and oats to the flour.
  5. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the additional 275 ml (9.3 oz) of warm water and the fermented mixture.
  6. Add the yogurt and mix until a homogeneous dough forms.
  7. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes in a warm place.
  8. Mix the dough again and transfer it to a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  9. Brush a little oil over the top of the dough in the form.
  10. Cover the dough and let it rest for another 15 minutes.
  11. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  12. Bake the bread for 40 minutes or until it is golden and crispy. Spray a little water every 15 minutes while baking.
  13. Let the bread cool before serving.
